In this first match, one of Chicago's finest, Brian Quezada, meets North Carolina up-and-coming player Seth Garrett.  Quezada is the heavy favorite at the event.  Can the newcomer put his stamp on the field, or will everything go according to plan for Chicago's favorite?

Brian Quezada of Illinois continues his push through the losers bracket of the event.  Now he faces a man he has never played - even in practice.  Ben Ebers of Texas has been the dark horse of Showdown #2, surprising many competitors with his athleticism and passionate play.  Will he send Quezada back to Illinois without a chance for revenge against the man who upset him in round 1 - Seth Garrett?

Connor Cummings of Texas injured himself last year and has struggled to continue competing with his dominant hand (righty).  But, he came in to the Showdown playing Lefty, with a great deal of practice.  Will it be enough to compete with one of North Carolina's top prospects?  Seth Garrett - Mr. Air Hockey - aims to push past Cummings and reach the finals of the event.  Will the Lefty, who is a Righty, be able to overcome the fast-paced Garrett?

Carlos Hernandez of North Carolina makes his bid to eliminate the odds-on favorite of Showdown #2 - Brian Quezada of Illinois.  Hernandez bears the last name of one of the sport's 2-time champions.  Can he channel the winning ways of the great Robert Hernandez, and send Quezada frustrated back to Illinois, or can Quezada turn on his top tier offense to push forward toward the finals?

Vintage Pro Air Hockey - 1984 National Finals - Mark Robbins vs Robert Hernandez

The original super fast games of Mark Robbins and Robert Hernandez are on full display in this vintage finals from 1984.  Taking place in Boulder, Colorado, Robbins hold home court advantage.  But the contingent from Texas is quite vocal in cheering on their warrior - Robert Hernandez.  The match is commentated by the late Paul Marshall, who calls it, at the time, the most exciting finals to date!
